Oak Island Mystery
Graeme Trethewey
Oak Island Mystery
The Oak Island mystery continues to be the world’s longest treasure hunt. It all began in 1795 when three boys discovered the top of an ancient shaft on uninhabited Oak Island in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia. The boys began to dig, and what they uncovered started the world’s greatest and strangest treasure hunt. Nobody knows what the treasure is as of today nothing substantial has been found despite millions of dollars of investment. Two hundred and twenty-five years of courage, back-breaking effort, ingenuity, and engineering skills have failed to retrieve what is concealed there.
Graeme will be speaking to the Friends group on Thursday 21 May at 3.30pm. Afternoon tea will be served at the conclusion of the session.
