Special Collection
The Special Collection is housed in a separate room on the ground floor of the library, with a dehumidifier to keep the collection mould free.
Items kept in the Special Collection include:
- Fragile items e.g. rare books
- Special donations e.g. the Asian collection
- Historic documents e.g. curriculum documents
The oldest item in the collection is a treatise dated 1633
Items in the collection include:
- Two limited editions from the Queen’s Collection at Windsor Castle of paintings by Leonardo da Vinci and Canaletto
- The Philipp Franz von Siebold’s Ukiyo-e Collection
- Simandjuntak Asian Collection (550 items)
